GUT Exhibition Poster .jpg

GUT was an exhibition of work by Lucy Gogoliuk, Mhairi McPhail, Charlotte Taylor and Jenna Waldren, all of whom graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2021. These four artists confront feelings of intuition and tension within their work. Capturing the sensual, beautiful and mundane moments of life, they seek to find reason or pleasure in a landscape of uncertainty.

'That uncomfortable feeling in the pit of our stomach; insides and instincts. This intuition is a life force, a creative drive to battle indecision and doubt. With gumption, it emanates from within. We grasp our sides as they split to reveal the possibility of expansion.'

Below are photographs of the exhibition, as well as some images from the Private View on Monday 5th September.
