ABOUT

BIOGRAPHY AND STATEMENT

Jenna Waldren is an artist from London now based in Edinburgh. She graduated in 2021 with a First-Class Honours in Painting BA from Edinburgh College of Art. She currently occupies a space at the artist-run Mutual Co-Op Studios where she continues to develop her artistic practice.

Her work observes her immediate surroundings, documenting small passages of human connection between her friends and loved ones. She also often turns the lens on herself, attempting to contemplate how the world sees her as a young woman. Using drawing, painting and printmaking in a careful and tender manner, her work experiments with the balance of the graphic versus the painterly, juxtaposing bold lines against delicate, detailed areas of focus.
